About the Artist
Steve Creighton grew up near Warsaw, Indiana. He majored in both Art and Business at Valparaiso University as an undergraduate and continued his art education with graduate art courses at Indiana University. His still life and landscape oil paintings have won numerous awards including multiple Best of Show distinctions.
Creighton’s paintings are held by collectors throughout the country. He is a “Signature” member of National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society and Hoosier Salon and a member of Oil Painters of America. He loves the challenge of national and international competitions. The past couple years his works have been exhibited in Indiana, Texas, Maryland, Utah, South Carolina, Florida, Colorado and Wyoming.. His studio is in Warsaw where he lives with his wife, Sue.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Painting is about solving problems of light, design, value, form, color and edges. It requires an initial concept...an original idea for a particular painting. Still life painting is my passion. It provides me with all the visual concepts and challenges that fascinate me.
